Holiday Cheer

The countdown to the holiday season has begun – and what better gift could there be than to give a bottle or two of Holiday cheer (wine, of course!). At Galante Vineyards we believe that you also deserve a treat, so, for a very limited time we are offering a $25 Galante Gift Card for every $250 in Gift Cards you purchase. Denominations are $25 or $50 and we can send them to you or directly to your guest list, whatever you would like. With Galante Gift Cards, recipients can choose the wine or retail item that they would most enjoy, so your gift will always be greatly appreciated. Order on-line or by emailing us and we will get your cards out ASAP.

Basket Bizarre

The only gift better than Galante wine is a Galante Gift Basket! We have created a few baskets for you to choose from, but you can easily customize your own. Simply fill out the Custom Gift Basket Form (as many as you would like), scan and email them to us (or fax them to 831-624-3200) and we will do the rest to get your gifts delivered in time for the holidays. Feel free to call us at 800-GALANTE to discuss your order as well.

Wine of the Month – 2009 Red Rose Hill

Each month we select one wine to highlight with a very special offer. Our 2009 Red Rose Hill Cabernet Sauvignon is December's Wine of the Month. This exquisite cabernet has 5 years under its belt and, as such, is incredibly elegant yet rich with youthful flavors. An explosive mouth of bright cherry and cassis leads to a full and sophisticated finish. The 2009 Red Rose Hill is my choice to accompany our holiday feast. This month ONLY, we are offering this wine at $29 (regular retail is $35) Order 6 or more bottles and receive free shipping as well! ORDER NOW! Note, this is an on-line exclusive offer.

Jack’s Saddlebag – Be Nice

A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird’s mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. John tried and tried to change the bird’s attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to ‘clean up’ the bird’s vocabulary.

Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even more obnoxious. John, in desperation, threw up his hand, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer.  For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute. Fearing that he’d hurt the parrot, John quickly opened the door to the freezer. The parrot calmly stepped out onto John’s outstretched arms and said “I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I’m sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior.”

John was stunned at the change in the bird’s attitude. As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird spoke-up, very softly, “May I ask what the turkey did?”

Cheers!
